What is the use of M-Binet Test?
The five factors of cognitive ability are scaled on M-Binet intelligence scale. The five factors are knowledge, quantitative reasoning, fluid reasoning, working memory and visual-spatial processing. Both non-verbal and verbal response is measured. Equal weight is given to all the five factors and then is reduced to a ratio known as the intelligence quotient (IQ). We can say that the test assets a person's ability to learn.
The test in which no prior knowledge is required to solve reasoning questions is termed as fluid reasoning. The object series matrices are used to test non-verbal fluid reasoning.
